Born in Montreal in 1985, Juliana Léveillé-Trudel writes in multiple genres: novels (Nirliit, La Peuplade, 2015); picture books (How to Catch a Bear who Loves to Read and A Starlit Trip to the Library, 2018 and 2022 respectively); and theatre (Nous ne sommes pas une ville, Théâtre Pàp and À tour de rôle, coming in 2023). Her work has been translated into English, Spanish, Icelandic, Danish and Basque. She has performed many of her theatrical and literary creations live and is the founder of the non-profit theatre company Productions de brousse. Her second novel, On a tout l’automne, will be published by La Peuplade in October 2022.

Originally from Edmonton, Amanda Perry has been writing and teaching in Montreal since 2018. In addition to numerous academic articles, her work has appeared in The Walrus, The Globe and Mail, and the Literary Review of Canada, where she is a contributing editor. She has a PhD in Comparative Literature from New York University and currently teaches at Champlain College-Saint-Lambert and Concordia.

Sophie Nicole Croteau is a writer, director, and performer living in Montreal (Tiohtiá:ke). She studied literature, visual arts, and theatre, and has worked as a coordinator for various non-profit cultural organizations. She has been on the Fringe Festival scene for several years, notably with her solo shows Illustrated Lady and Gastrolithe. She also co-hosts the podcast Des si et des rais and produces the video game Papier Julien with the Studio Cornet team.

Novelist and screenwriter, Jean-Pierre Gorkynian was born in Montréal in 1986. His first novel, Rescapé (VLB, 2015), was a finalist for Archambault’s Grand Literary Prize and for Chambery’s First Novel Festival (2016). His second, Tireur embusqué (Mémoire d’encrier, 2020), was a finalist for the College Literary Prize in 2021.
