The show will be presented in French

In the middle of the Month of the Dead, Enfabulation brings you stories in French about fear in all its forms.

Presented by

Since 2017, Enfabulation produces a show in French with a very simple concept: based on a chosen theme, each performer tells a true personal story, as they lived it—no notes, costumes, or props.

Juliana Léveillé-Trudel

Born in Montreal in 1985, Juliana Léveillé-Trudel writes in multiple genres: novels (Nirliit, La Peuplade, 2015); picture books (How to Catch a Bear who Loves to Read and A Starlit Trip to the Library, 2018 and 2022 respectively); and theatre (Nous ne sommes pas une ville, Théâtre Pàp and À tour de rôle, coming in 2023). Her work has been translated into English, Spanish, Icelandic, Danish and Basque. She has performed many of her theatrical and literary creations live and is the founder of the non-profit theatre company Productions de brousse. Her second novel, On a tout l’automne, will be published by La Peuplade in October 2022.

Jocelyn Sioui

Jocelyn Sioui is a founding member of Belzébrute, a theatre band. Author-designer-performer of Shavirez, le tsigane des mers (2008), Manga (2011) and Mr P (2013), his works have been appreciated throughout Canada and France. The originality of his approach has earned him many distinctions, including the Grand Jury Prize at the OFF/Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes de Charleville-MÉzière during Shavirez's visit in 2013. Jocelyn is also the founder and director of OUF! Festival Off Casteliers, a festival dedicated to puppetry, and he is one of the very few Aboriginal puppeteers in Quebec. In 2020, he published the story Mononk Jules, which reconstructs the journey of Jules Sioui, a Wendat who shook up Canadian history before sinking into a huge family and historical memory hole. In 2021, Jocelyn Sioui adapted this text, which tells the story of his great-uncle, for the stage, presented in the form of a puppet show at the Aux Écuries theatre.
