After years of watering and replanting her own personal seeds of success, all while maintaining a level of mystery and reticence on the surface, Adria Kain is now ready to rise and flourish into full bloom. Using the art of storytelling, Adria draws from her own reality, sharing moments of raw and honest lived experiences through soul-filled melodies and thought provoking lyricism.

About the artist
Soul-filled and honest, Adria Kain takes from her own lived experiences, both painful & joyful, to share stories of love, resilience, embracing her identity as a queer, masc-presenting Black woman, and more. In full command of her spectacular voice, Adria’s approach is restrained yet filled with a quiet confidence. The deeply felt collection of songs out today details her experience of reconnecting with nature to heal old wounds, grow into the most authentic version of herself, and just let go.
Heavily influenced by the likes of Frank Ocean, SZA, Nick Hakim, Dijon, among others—not just for their sound, but also for their ability to masterfully create a visual story through music—Adria Kain has garnered praise from the likes of Fader, Complex, SPIN, and more. She’s opened for BJ The Chicago Kid, Miguel, Ari Lennox and Questlove, featured on PARTYNEXTDOOR’s self-titled second album, and steadily built a name for herself throughout the Toronto scene.

Enter Beach Season. A Canadian duo comprised of vocalist/producer/writer Sam Avant and producer/writer Simon Blitzer exploring the sound existing within the intersection of R&B and electronic pop music.
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, a city known for its cold and dry weather, Sam and Simon saw themselves much differently from their city and their contemporaries; a Beach Season in the middle of winter.
Collaborating with one another for over a decade, Sam and Simon first emerged as Beach Season in 2014 with their EP Internet Evening. Following up with their first major label release, Libra Year in 2016 on Universal Music Canada, Beach Season saw themselves incorporating experimental electronica, retro synths, drum machine samples, and quintessential pop, growing into a sound they can truly exhibit as their own.
Time & Place came as the duo's sophomore release with Universal Music, an album that realized a more mature, expressive and nuanced sound. Now independent, Sam and Simon strive to showcase themselves as artists and tastemakers as they roll out the next vision for Beach Season.
