The Artists are Present series explores the approach and initiatives of local talents seeking sustainable artistic development in their communities. Directly linked to the activities taking place in the PHI_portal, these artists advocate for greater involvement and innovation in their respective spheres.
In an academic research that seeks to address internalized misogyny in women around the globe, Bettina Szabo, Uruguayan-born dancer and choreographer, connects with residents of Mali and Afghanistan through the PHI_portal. The experience triggered a remarkable progress of her studies, allowing the development of a long-term work.
